Smt. ANUSHA HARICHARAN is an engineering graduate and a passionate mother of two lovely kids from Chennai.
She holds a P.G. Diploma in Yoga from Krishnamachari Yoga Mandiram. Her formal education is B.E. in Electronics and Communication. Having worked in Tata consultancy services as Systems Engineer and in areas of quality control and coding in Insurance and Market survey domains, she left her career in the software industry to balance her domestic responsibilities and in parallel has been pursuing her interests in ancient Hindu literature.
Her areas of interest include – Hindu epics and scriptures, Sanskrit Language, Indology, Yoga, Temple Architecture
She organized different field trips for children like Temple visit, Goshala visit and other heritage sites. She runs an organization called “Varchas” for the last 4 years which conducts devotional classes for children. She teaches Shlokas, Bhajans, Puranic stories, Sanskrit, texts like Bhagavad Gita, Tirukkural and gives a good exposure to our Vedic culture/ principles of Hinduism. She co-authored a book on Lord Ganesha with Ms. Giri Publications.
Apart from this, she gave a presentation of theme Kolus during Navratri festival for the last 4 years and has bagged prizes for the same from different organizations including the prestigious ‘Adyar Times Kolu’ award. She conducted Annual Day programs themed on different cultural topics on a grand scale for the last 4 years. She held competitions for children to promote their interest in Hindu culture through various forms of art. She has a good exposure to dharmic texts like Bhagavad Gita, Tattva Bodha, Uddhava Gita, Panchadasi, Kaivalya Navaneetham and a few Upanishads for the last 15 years. She is also connected with Samskrtam. She passed with distinction two levels of Samskrita Bharati’s Sanskrit examinations.
