Description

Learn Spoken Sanskrit

Videos teaching Sanskrit through Sanskrit

“Sanskrit Through Sanskrit” has been the motto of the pathbreaking organisation Samskrita Bharati, which has brought Sanskrit to homes through its revolutionary methodology of teaching conversational Sanskrit, entirely through Sanskrit – just like a child learns its native tongue through continuous use and exposure to the language, rather than a dry academic study. Trained in this methodology, Sri Kiran Bhat has delivered a series of Spoken Sanskrit lessons for the SVBC (Sri Venkateshwara Bhakti Channel of TTD), which were telecast in TV in daily 0.5 hour episodes. These videos are hosted on their youtube channel, and the channel authorities have now permitted us to share them through Vyoma Samskrta Pathasala, for the benefit of students and Sanskrit enthusiasts.

Guiding Force and Inspiration behind this entire effort is Prof. V Muralidhara Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati. Prof Sharma has been striving constantly to usher in a completely Sanskrit environment in the campus of the Vidyapeetha, and launching several initiatives such as Balakendras and Sambhashana Shibhiras by students of the Vidyapeetha to take Sanskrit to each and every household in Tirupati. Sri. Kiran Bhat, who is pursuing his PhD in the Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, has conducted these lessons, and several other programmes under the guidance and encouragement of Prof. Muralidhara Sharma.

Vyoma Linguistic Labs foundation thanks Prof. Muralidhara Sharma, authorities of the SVBC channel, and the teacher, Sri. Kiran Bhat, for enabling us to host these lessons in our portal for the benefit of a wider audience.

You can watch the same videos, with English subtitles at our other course here – Learn Spoken Sanskrit (with English subtitles)

Please Note: The videos may have a bit of Telugu content in the beginning, as they were produced for the Telugu channel, but the actual lessons are completely in Sanskrit.
