Sāhityadarpaṇa of Viśvanātha is one of the most popular basic texts of Sāhityaśāstra, covering all the foundational concepts of Kāvya and its varied aspects. It is universally studied by students of Sanskrit poetics, as it is one of easier texts of the genre.
In these audio lectures, Ms. P. R. Gayathri explains the Pariccheda 5 of the text in simple Tamil. This pariccheda deals with the various oppositions to Dhvani siddhanta, and establishes Dhvani siddhanta by rejecting those methodically.
