This free webinar course has been designed to help students preparing for the SAMSKRITASRI PATHAMALA-1 exam which will be conducted by the Samskrit Education Society (regd.) This is a beginner level course and is expected to span a duration of 5 to 6 months. The SAMSKRITASRI PATHAMALA-1 exam is the first in a graded series of 8 exams conducted by the Society. The first level introduces nouns, pronouns and verbs, and focusses on sentence construction using the different vibhaktis appropriately.

Samskritasri is a monthly journal brought out by the Samskrit Education Society (regd.) with its head office in RA Puram, Chennai, established for the purpose of teaching the divine language of Samskritam through the medium of Tamil.
The magazine was first published in 1977 with the blessings of His Holiness Sri Sankaracharya Of Kanchi Kamakoti Jagadguru Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal.
About Sri S.V.RadhaKrishna Sastri
Sri S V Radhakrishna Sastri, who was the guiding force behind SamskritaSri and designing of the Pathamala syllabus, was a learned scholar in Ayurveda, Tantra, Vedanta, Meemamsa and Dharma Sastras and a distinguished personality in Vedas, Tarka, Advaita & Sanskrit.
In recognition of his expertise, he was awarded the Presidential Certificate of Honour for Outstanding Contribution to Sanskrit in 2003 from the President of India, an award given to eminent Sanskrit scholars.
He authored and compiled many books relating to Ayurveda, Samskritam, Vedic and Puranic Literature.
About the Pathamala Series
The Pathamala series has a very unique and judicious mix of Vyakarana (Grammar), Kavya (Literature), Bhakti through Stotras and Bhagavat katha and essays on varied topics.
The lessons were initially published through Samskritasri and later compiled in book form. At present exams are conducted at 8 levels of 6 months duration each, exams being held in January and July every year.
The syllabus has been carefully designed to introduce vocabulary and grammar concepts in a graded and structured fashion.
Both the examinations and the evaluation of answer papers ensure a high standard and test the thorough and in-depth understanding of various concepts by the students, thus making this a very sought after course by discerning students.

Vyoma Labs will conduct an exam at the end of this course and issue certificates to successful candidates, but this certificate is not recognized or endorsed by the Samskrit Education Society. The Exam conducted by Vyoma is purely a preparatory exam for those taking the actual Samskritasri exams.
There will be a preparatory Assessment conducted at the end of the course, and you will get an e-certificate from Vyoma Labs if you clear the assessment with 60% or more marks.
