The Campūrāmāyaṇa is one of the most popular, and beautiful campū kāvyas of Samskṛta. Composed by the royal poet Bhoja, it employs extremely attractive language and expressions to retell the story of Rāma in an enchanting way. The Bāla and Sundara kāṇḍas of this work are very popular among students, and prescribed for study in various examinations.
Sundarakāṇḍa is prescribed for study in the Kovida exam (Fifth level of the Chittoor series). In these video lectures, Ms. Visalakshi Sankaran explains prose and verse with equal aplomb, easily leading the student through the captivating imagery and flowing descriptions of Bhoja. Her passion for poetry and enthusiasm for the language inspire students and help them in preparing for the examinations with renewed confidence and vigour.
We thank Ms. Visalakshi Sankaran for permitting Vyoma-Samskṛta-Pāṭhaśālā to share these valuable resources with our students.
