This course will be based on the book Ashtadhyayi Pravesha, authored by Dr. Tilak Rao. This book is intended to introduce learners into the structure and concepts of Paninian system without going into the sutras in detail.
This course covers the first few chapters of Part 1 of Ashtadhyayi Pravesha, including the chapters व्याकरणशास्त्रस्य परम्परा, वर्णाः, अष्टाध्याय्याः विषयः, संज्ञाः, अष्टाध्याय्याः अवगमनम्, अच्सन्धिः, हल्सन्धिः, विसर्गसन्धिः, सुबन्ताः, सङ्ख्यावाचकाः .

The teacher, vid. Tilaka M Rao has authored a book called Ashtadhyayipravesha, which has lessons and exercises which will be covered in this course. The two-volume book has been published by Veda Vijnana Shodha Sansthan. Those who want to purchase the book may send an email to [email protected].
For learners in the US, the book will be made available shortly in the online bookstore of Samskrita Bharati.
The book is recommended for learners, to practice additional exercises and gain proficiency in the subject. However, it is not mandatory to possess the book in order to attend the classes.
